  3. In this context, the SR22T may be a harder sell for Cirrus. By dint of higher overhaul costs and fuel burn, its operational costs are a bit higher and our brief flight trial suggests its not quite as fast as the TN version. Again, we would like to see a wing-to-wing flyoff before committing to that

The Cirrus SR22T-G6 will also carry the four people and bags, but like the Meridian, it will not carry that load with full fuel. But, with the low fuel burn provided by lean-of-peak (LOP) operations, a little bit of fuel goes a long way. A Cirrus SR22T will carry two mid-sized adults and bags and full fuel, but if you want to carry more people. Cirrus SR22-GTS. Performance Summary. The Cirrus SR22 is a four-place, low wing, single-engine monoplane with fixed landing gear. The aircraft is constructed of primarily composite materials. This airplane is certificated in the normal category. In the normal category all aerobatic maneuvers are prohibited Put in the same amount of fuel and the Cirrus carries more. On comfort I suggest you do a two hour trip to test. I love the Diamond but find the DA40 seating uncomfortable. My fuel flow numbers are similar to Fast Eddie's. For the older TN planes fuel burn is pretty much 17 GPH with top cruise varying with altitude

How much fuel does a Cirrus sr22 burn? - FindAnyAnswer

The speed Delta may be as much as 10 knots or so up in the mid-teens where most turbos travel; the fuel burn is 0.3 GPH more. I say may be because our trial of the airplane for an article in the July issue of Aviation Consumer revealed inconsistent data. 1. The Cirrus SR22T. The most popular variations of the Cirrus Aircraft is the turbocharged 'SR22T'. Launching in 2010, the SR22T immediately overtook the sales numbers of the SR22, and the trend continues today. From the research we've gathered from SR22 owners, the data suggests that the average fuel burn is around 11.5 gallons per hour.
  2. The Cirrus SR22 burns about 17.8 gallons per hour with Avgas typically costing about $6 per gallon, hourly fuel costs for the Cirrus SR22 run between $100-$108 per hour. Insurance. Depending on whether you just carry Liability coverage or Full Flight Hull Coverage, this cost will vary, but it typically runs between $500-$5,000 per year, which.

  7. The oldest SR22 models date back nearly 18 years, where they sold for just south of $400,000. Today you can buy a cherry, first-gen SR22 for less than half. And while there s little comparison between a G1 and the current SR22T G6, which flirts with $1 million fully loaded, an old Cirrus with updated avionics and a young engine isn t a bad way to get around

This particular SR22T GTS, a 2017 Generation 6 model, was, in truth, the nicest on the planet by virtue of the fact that it was the only G6 yet in existence. The SR22 G6 features sleek Spectra LED. If it's anything like any other fuel injected aeroplane, it'll be fuel pump on for a few seconds to prime then off again. So it's off before engine start. But I've only flown an SR22 once, so I can't recall if it's any different to the above This was a respectable speed especially with our fuel burn of only 14 gallons per hour. This is similar to the 182 I fly but I fly 30 knots slower thus on miles per gallon basis we where saving on fuel in the Cirrus. The largest expense for this airplane is the acquisition cost and for a used Cirrus with much less equipment you are looking at.

  2. The good: The Cirrus SR22T is a great capable plane. There's a great network of Cirrus owners, pilots and instructors. There's an excellent factory training program and whether you do your training in a C172 or you finish up in a Cirrus I highly recommend you find a CSIP and go through the factory training. Not to mention the fuel burn cost.
